It became clear that a renewed, restructured model of outreach was essential—one that could transcend local limitations and harness both national and international expertise.

During this critical period of transition, several committed professionals stepped forward to sustain the mission and momentum. Dr. Tosin Ogundana played a pivotal role, whose digital leadership helped define the organization’s public interface. He sustained years of vibrant engagement through the highly impactful “Ask the Dentists” Facebook group, a virtual space that connected thousands of Nigerians to accurate, accessible dental information and preventive care advice. His consistent visibility and trusted presence ensured that oral health remained a public conversation, even as the clinical workforce thinned.

Dr. Ayilola and Dr. Tomi Adeyemo were particularly instrumental in holding the vision together during the years when the founders had relocated abroad. Their unwavering commitment, leadership, and grassroots involvement ensured that the heart of Dental Channel Nigeria continued to beat, both online and in the field. Equally pivotal was Dr. Sunday Atoyebi, who played a foundational, strategic, and leadership role in both the progress of Dental Channel Nigeria and the ideation and conceptualization of Dentists Without Frontiers. His insight, operational foresight, and relentless advocacy for underserved communities laid much of the groundwork for what DWF would eventually become.
