Dr. Oluwaseun Festus Banjo, fondly called Dr Impact.

Founder, Dental Channel Nigeria (2015)

Chairman, Board of Trustees, Dentists Without Frontiers (DWF)

“I do not treat teeth; I treat people. I do not lead to be seen; I lead to build. My life is a blueprint of what’s possible when purpose meets perseverance.”

Born into humble beginnings and raised by an unlettered yet deeply wise mother after losing his father at age five, Dr. Impact Banjo is a living icon to the power of resilience and service. A beneficiary of scholarships for indigent students, his journey into dentistry was shaped by a traumatic childhood experience where his friend suffered a jaw fracture and was saved by the calm precision of a dentist. That moment ignited a passion that still burns.

In 2015, Dr. Banjo founded Dental Channel Nigeria, Nigeria’s first-ever dental blog and digital oral health platform. What began as a response to low oral health awareness has now grown into a national voice; educating millions through blogs, apps, and community campaigns. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his online group “Ask the Dentists” reached over 100,000 members, offering free virtual consultations when in-person care was scarce.

As BOT Chair of Dentists Without Frontiers (2025), Dr. Banjo continues his mission to break geographic and socioeconomic barriers in dental care.

He holds a Dental Surgery degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, where he served as National Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Dental Students. He went on to lead top-performing private practices, and pursue a Dental Public Health residency (interrupted only by relocation).

In Canada, Dr. Banjo now works within Alberta Health Services as a project manager, spearheading initiatives like eReferral systems, Netcare integration, and Oral and maxillofacial surgery pathway reform. He holds certifications in Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, Agile Project Management, and earned an MBA with Distinction in Health Sector Management.

Whether in the clinic, classroom, policy room, or digital space, Dr. Impact brings an empathetic mind, an entrepreneurial heart, and a global lens to dentistry.

🔗 Founder’s Corner Quote:

“From rural wards in Nigeria to policy tables in Canada, I’ve seen that true healthcare reform begins where people hurt most; on the margins. At DWF, we don’t just treat – we transform.

Co-Founder, Dental Channel Nigeria (2015).

Vice Chair, Dentists Without Frontiers (DWF)

Dr. Kikelomo Funke Banjo is an accomplished dentist, educator, and humanitarian with a lifelong passion for advancing oral health equity. Inspired at an early age by her dad; a pioneering dentist and policy leader in Nigeria, she chose dentistry early and quickly excelled, becoming the one of the very few best graduating dental students in 40 years at her university, earning four distinctions and honors.

In 2015, she co-pioneered Dental Channel Nigeria, the country’s first fully digital oral health awareness platform. For nearly a decade, she championed nationwide outreach, community education, and digital engagement, efforts that later evolved into Dentists Without Frontiers (DWF) in 2025.

Dr. Banjo has extensive clinical experience in pediatric and community dentistry, having led outreach campaigns in schools, markets, prisons, and underserved communities, while also mentoring students and young professionals. After relocating to Canada in 2022, she re-trained and is now advancing toward professional licensure in both Canada and the United States.

At DWF, she embodies the organization’s values of equity, service, and empowerment, continuing to bridge knowledge, compassion, and innovation to improve oral health for vulnerable populations worldwide
